Services Offered

Heart Rhythm Consultants offers a variety of cardiac electrocardiography (abnormal rhythms of the heart), and we specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation. In addition to atrial fibrillation, we offer remote device management, palpitations and loss of consciousness management and stroke prevention designed to help patients better manage their health.

Management of Atrial Fibrillation

We understand that every case of atrial fibrillation is different. In many cases, current data supports doing nothing as the best course of action. Having your atrial fibrillation managed by an expert depends on having access to the latest techniques and medications available.  Atrial fibrillation is a focus of our practice and we use the most recent information available when deciding how to protect you and help you become symptom-free.

Remote Device Management

We have extensive experience in the implantation and management of cardiac devices, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable cardiac monitors. We also offer the ability to check your device from home. This allows constant monitoring of your device while leading to the detection of any issues much sooner and reducing the number of times you need to come to the office.

Palpitations

Management of palpitations starts with a diagnosis. Once the determination is made, treatment strategies can vary from general reassurance to gentle medications and in some cases an ablative procedure that eliminates your symptoms. You may be hesitant to have a procedure that seems unfamiliar. If faced with this situation, the procedure will be explained in thorough detail until you feel comfortable with it.

Loss of Consciousness

Passing out and losing consciousness is a problem that many people suffer from. It’s even worse when it is recurrent. Often, specific studies can help determine the cause and also allow our practice to offer treatment suggestions to prevent future episodes.

Stroke Prevention

Whether you have atrial fibrillation (which can often lead to a stroke) or you’ve experienced a stroke in the past for unknown reasons, there are new technologies that can help prevent future occurrences.

What we DON’T do

We do not practice general cardiology. We focus on rhythm disorders of the heart. In many cases, physicians will focus on both, but focusing on electrophysiology allows our practice to specialize in a targeted area and offer superior cardiac electrocardiography services.
